Welcome to my site . . . Where Real Life Meets Real Faith
(One awkward moment at a time)
I’m Sheila, and this is my blog. I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a wife and a mom. I want to help wives and moms defeat feelings of inadequacy, doubt and rejection so they can build confidence, break down barriers and reroute their lives towards freedom.
I want to guide you in:
- Debunking and replacing condemnation from your past
- Discovering God’s truth in your present
- Embracing God’s grace in your plans for your future
Let’s navigate the maze of shame and reroute our lives onto the path to freedom. Through a window of humor and transparency, I want to help you redirect the little voice in your head that whispers “I’m not enough,” and experience a life-faith fusion.
Here’s a bit about me. I’m a former civilian journalist and editor for the U.S. Army’s award-winning newspaper, The Cannoneer, turned stay-at-home mom, writer, and speaker.
I write from the experience of 30 years of marriage, five kids, home schooling, ten corporate moves, two dogs and a ferret. (May they rest in peace.).
You’ll find my life is real. Sometimes it’s not pretty, but it’s always honest.
I hope my stories encourage you as you navigate life’s emotional twists and turns so you’re free to be the authentic woman God called you to be.
